Yahoo Food Gifs
The following pizza gifs were illustrated and animated for a Yahoo Food article. The article listed 10 different ways of eating pizza and the illustrations depict these various ways. I aimed to create something that would be quirky and bold, that would bring interest to the article. Animation would bring the attention that they needed. These illustrations needed to show the process of eating pizza, and the most effective way of showing that was through movement and direction. The colors, orange, yellow, and red were chosen to correlate the illustrations with food. I decided to make the text wiggle, to go along with the rest of the animation.
New York Times Opinion Column Illustration
This was a personal project I worked on. Interpreting The New York Times article "Should We Keep a Low Profile in Space", I created an illustrated gif to go along. The article debates whether we should be broadcasting our existence to the unknown galaxy and its inhabitants or if we should be keeping a low profile. Keeping that in mind, I illustrated humans obnoxiously broadcasting their existence and calling attention to themselves. I felt that this would interest readers into learning more about the article.
